De 28-jarige Arne S. uit Blankenberge heeft van de strafrechter in Brugge vier maanden effectieve gevangenisstraf en een geldboete van 600 euro gekregen voor aanzetten tot haat tegen de islam.
Op 8 juni vorig jaar verscheurde de man in de Stuiverstraat in Oostende een exemplaar van de Koran voor de ogen van een groepje moslims. Dat gebeurde in de nasleep van een korte demonstratie door Vlaams Belang tegen de komst van een derde moskee in de stad. De Blankenbergenaar had aan de demonstratie deelgenomen en was daarna nog iets gaan drinken op café. Daar kwam het tot een woordenwisseling met enkele moslimjongeren. ‘Mijn cliënt stond op straat iets te drinken en kreeg plotseling een exemplaar van de Koran naar het hoofd geslingerd,' zegt advocaat Olivier Ryde. ‘Hij vond er niets beter op dan het boek op te rapen en in tweeën te scheuren.

VIER maanden dus. Bij DRIE maanden (oude vrouwkes tegen de grond kloppen, handtassenroof met hartaanval als gevolg, iemand levenslang in een rolstoel kloppen....) moet je niet gaan zitten.

Maar om een boekske in brand te steken krijg je vier maanden. De rechter kreeg vast hallucinaties over de nazi's zeker?

TWO Muslim students have been expelled from an Islamic school in Melbourne for urinating and spitting on a Bible and setting it on fire.

The explosive incident has forced the East Preston Islamic College to call in a senior imam to tell its 650 Muslim students that the Bible and Christianity must be respected.

Anxious teachers at the school have also petitioned principal Shaheem Doutie, expressing "grave concern" about an "inculcation of hatred and radical attitudes towards non-Muslims" at the school, including towards non-Muslim teachers.

"The main perpetrator (a Year 7 student) urinated on the Holy Bible, tore some pages from the Holy Book and burnt them then finally spat on the Holy Book," the report says.

The second boy, from Year 9, "tore pages from the Holy Book and burnt them", while a third student, from Year 7, "tore pages from the Holy Bible and then he rolled it up like a cigarette and pretended to smoke it".

The boys come from a variety of ethnic Muslim backgrounds -- one is believed to be an Albanian/Malaysian, another Lebanese and another Indonesian.

But nothing is done against blasphemous acts toward the books of other religions.

Je kan dat op de markt van Molenbeek vinden (tweemaal per week) en als je dan tocht bezig bent, 'de weg van de moslim' vindt je vaak in dezelfde kramen en zeker in de islamitische boekenwinkels en de islamitische bibliotheek.
Geen probleem dus.

Lees de formulering van de haat-wetten er maar op na.
Dat er boosheid was is voldoende bewijs dat er haat werd gezaaid.
