Wat denkt het buitenland over ons binnenland?

De hiernavolgende tekst werd gepubliceerd op 9 october ll. in het Verenigd Koninkrijk, door de bekende Engelse journalist Daniel Hannan in “Telegraph.co.uk”. Het toont aan dat men in het buitenland echt niet wakker ligt van de stagnatie in België. In tegenstelling tot wat sommigen zeggen : het ziet er niet naar uit dat men in het buitenland een traan gaat verpinken als de Belgische Titanic op de klippen gaat. De buitenlandse pers is ook een flink stuk nuchterder in haar analyse. Reden te meer om nu de structurele veranderingen door te voeren die nodig zijn. Het zal nog snel een halve generatie duren voor de echte kentering blijvend herstel zal opleveren

So far attention has focused on the advantages to Flanders from such a separation and these are clear enough : loosed of the albatross of subsidising Wallonia, and freed from an engorged and self-seeking apparat of state officials, the Flemish would return to their mercantile past
Yet the even bigger winners might be French-speaking Belgians. For subsidies, while expensive for the donor, are ruinous for the recipient. When commentators say that “Wallonia” benefits from subventions of x or y billion euros, what they really mean is, that a handful of Francophone politicians and officials benefit : the grants give them the power to reward their friends and punish their enemies. Almost all institutions end up being corrupted : the trade unions, the political parties, the state-owned enterprises. Everyone becomes a junkie

zolang bedrijven maar blijven en investeren voor ons werk en onze pré he
en ja ook technisch handwerk hoort daarbij. Als het niet gevuld geraakt wil men vreemdelingen binnenhalen godver.
Dikke zever als er nu al zoveel werklozen zijn, moest men de lonen wat verhogen zou het al veel helpen. Maar ja dat probleem ligt dus bij de politiek.

Non ce ne sont pas des éminences de l’ex-URSS ni des membres du KGB ni des employés de pompes funèbres en goguette �* Varsovie, ce sont, en partant de la gauche : Yves Leterme, l’inoxydable apprenti formateur de gouvernement désigné puis après échec confirmé par Albert II, Herman Van Rompuy, le président flamand de la Chambre des Représentants et Armand De Decker, le président francophone du Sénat, tous deux missi dominici « réconciliateurs » de ce même tonton Albert.
Je pourrais vous dire : regardez comme ils sont beaux, très classe, souriants, complices, avenants et sympathiques. Ils incarnent la confiance, le renouveau, la sortie imminente de l’impasse. Bravo Albert ! je plaisanterais en grinçant. Ou, plutôt, je grincerais en plaisantant. J’ai au contraire envie de hurler sarcastique : voyez ces gars pas tibulaires mais presque (*) !
Dès que j’ai vu cette photo très emblématique en illustration de plusieurs articles de journaux belges, j’ai eu un fameux réflexe de dégoût sinon d’horreur (non pas bien sûr �* l’encontre des personnes) et une forte envie d’en parler sur ce blog car cette photo je la trouve �* la fois très belle - une vraie œuvre d’art - mais surtout sinistre et éminemment symbolique. Symbolique de la tentative désespérée de sortir de l’impasse en faisant appel une nouvelle fois �* la vieille garde, l’ancienne génération de politiques particrates qui a mené le pays l�* où il se trouve.
Ceci est un billet de très très mauvaise humeur et il le restera. Je reviendrai bientôt sur le fond.
