Quran has talked about this with amazing accuracy, pointing out this source of water: (18. And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away.) [Believers: 18].

This verse confirms that the water in the ground, such as ground water comes from rain water, and this is what is scientifically proven!
There is another verse refers to the storage of water under the earth's surface in the verse: (22. And We send the winds fertilizing (to fill heavily the clouds with water), then caused the water (rain) to descend from the sky, and We gave it to you to drink, and it is not you who are the owners of its stores [i.e. to give water to whom you like or to withhold it from whom you like].) [stone: 22].

It was thought previously that the water of the springs is formed in the ground or that it exists since time immemorial, did not have one of the people an idea of how the stores by this water, but the Glorious Quran told us of this fact and assured us that the rain water is the same as it is stored in the earth's ability God and is purified in the layers of rock and dirt to become capable of watering so he said: (Vosagenakmoh) Were it not for God's mercy and that he scoffed at the different laws of physics to the water stayed in the ground and still life on her back!

Scientists confirm today that the sources of water is the land itself, and this is indicated by the words of the Quran, the Almighty right: (30. And after that He spread the earth;

See you not, that Allah sends down water (rain) from the sky, and causes it to penetrate the earth, (and then makes it to spring up) as water-springs and afterward thereby produces crops of different colours, and afterward they wither and you see them turn yellow, then He makes them dry and broken pieces. Verily, in this, is a Reminder for men of understanding.) [Cliques: 21].

This verse confirms that the source is rain water springs, where he was in the past, the belief among some people is that these springs derives its water from the water of the sea!!!
But scientists today are looking for a new source of water in the future, and they argue that the best source is in the high mountains where they store huge amounts of water. The irony is that the Quran has talked about it, saying the Almighty: (27. And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water??) Posts: 27].

40. And of them there are some who believe therein, and of them there are some who believe not therein, and your Lord is All-Aware of the Mufsidun (evil-doers, liars, etc.).

Daar zou ik toch niet zo zeker van zijn. Tegenwoordig wordt vooral aangeraden GEEN Zam Zam water te drinken.

"We should have put an end to this about 20 years ago. Everyone believes the expansion of the mosque was necessary and important. But they do not realize that we will never get the real source of the 4,000 year old Abrahamic well back again. If we do not stop now we will lose it forever. We might even lose the Zamzam essence of the well if this continues," Al Alawi urged.
