Cesessie : 20 Amerikaanse staten hebben een petitie opgesteld om de VS te verlaten

Lang niet iedereen is tevreden met het resultaat van de verkiezingen en vooral het huidige beleid in the ol' USA.

Reeds 20 Amerikaanse staten hebben een petitie opgesteld die hen, indien deze voldoende steun krijgt, toelaat om de Verenigde Staten vredevol te verlaten en een eigen regering/souvereine staat te vormen.

Alhoewel deze actie op dit moment eerder symbolisch van aard is, neemt de populariteit van het initiatief en het aantal verzamelde handtekeningen gestaag toe.

De petities werden op 10 nov 2012 geplaatst op de site van het Witte Huis.

The US continues to suffer economic difficulties stemming from the federal government's neglect to reform domestic and foreign spending. Allow Oregon to vote on and leave the Union peacefully and remain an ally to the Nation.

With the Federal Govenrment increasing it's size much larger than our Founding Father's intended, and it's abuse of power trumping over the rights of State constitutions, and the forcing of unconstitutional laws over it's own citizens, the people of Oregon would like the chance to vote on leaving the Union immediately. The Federal Government has imposed policies on Oregon that are not in Oregon's best intrests, and we as citizens would respectively and peacably seperate ourselves from a tyranical Government who cares nothing about creating a sustainable future for our children. At any time that the citizens of Oregon felt the Federal Government was no longer imposing on the Constitution we could re-vote to again join the Union under a new agreement.

Indien de petitie voldoende handtekeningen verzamelt dan zal de Obama administratie daar een antwoord op geven. Uiteraard niets bindend. Maar toch interessant om op te volgen. Even afwachten en kijken hoeveel handtekeningen ze verzamelen.

Amerikaanse burgers kunnen via die site een petitie opstarten en indien ze voldoende steun hebben een antwoord van de administratie afdwingen.

Ik had dit gisteren ook op examiner.com gelezen.

Inderdaad, Texas bvb. heeft sinds de publicatie van dit topic reeds meer dan 40.000 extra handtekeningen behaald, dit gedurende de laatse 12 uur dus. Totaal enkel voor Texas is nu 60.000 handtekeningen. Even afwachten.
