Dat gaat in de TWh alle tesamen (ook al in 2025) en is voor tientallen miljoenen EV (incl. zwaar vervoer).
vb. 1,5 TWh = 1,5 miljard kWh of 25 miljoen EVs met een 60 kWh-batterijpack.

In house productie voorlopig enkel Tesla, VW Gp en Rimac.
Het materiaal zal in de toekomst alvast veranderen (Tesla gaat voor Silicium anode (Si = Silicon) bij de 4680 cellen, LFP bij de basisversies)

Recent kwam in het nieuws hoe het er niet naar uit ziet dat "Volvo" zijn batterijproduktie zal doen in het Gentse.Dit ondanks dat de voorziene lokatie ,vanuit "Volvo"" standpunt niet slecht was...

Batterijproduktie wordt van geostrategisch belang....zoals het bezit van olie- en gasvelden."Kleintjes",zoals Vlaanderen mogen autos samenknutselen maar in de belangrijke zaken,energiedragers,zal het moeilijk worden enige successen te gaan boeken....

(het is des te alarmerender omdat het "bij ons" nochtans zou gaan om een fabriek waarvan de eerste ,en mogelijk voornaamste- klant ER NAAST zou liggen en alles zich zou bevinden plof midden een van de meest "luxueuze" haven- en zelfs spoorwegcomplexen op de planeet.... )

Plaats voor windturbines hebben ze daar genoeg, en quasi altijd wind, blijkbaar het grootste windpark op land bevindt zich daar, blijkt een noordelijk trekgat te zijn...:

Blaiken Wind Farm

Skellefteå Kraft and Fortum have, through the company Blaiken Vind AB, built a wind farm in the Blaiken area of northern Sweden. The wind farm was completed in 2017 and now consists of 99 wind turbines with a total capacity of around 247.5 MW, making Blaiken the largest land-based wind farm in Europe. The farm’s annual production of around 700 GWh/year corresponds to the annual energy consumption of 161,500 apartments, and the overall investment cost amounts to SEK 3.3 billion. As of July 1, Skellefteå Kraft owns 100% of Blaiken Wind Farm.

Good wind resources

The national wind survey carried out by Uppsala University has identified the Blaiken area as a very good location for wind power production with an average wind of 7.5–8 m/s. Another advantage is that, due to the existing hydropower plant in the area, it is both easy and cost-effective to connect the wind turbines to the national grid.

Goede windbronnen

Het nationale windonderzoek uitgevoerd door de Universiteit van Uppsala heeft het Blaiken-gebied geïdentificeerd als een zeer goede locatie voor de productie van windenergie met een gemiddelde windsnelheid van 7,5–8 m/s. Een ander voordeel is dat het door de bestaande waterkrachtcentrale in het gebied zowel eenvoudig als kostenbesparend is om de windturbines aan te sluiten op het landelijke net.

Overigens,kijk,DAT is nu eens een NUTTIGE toepassing voor windenergie.De batterijfabriek heeft straks zelfs de middelen achter de hand om te "bufferen" als het eens wat minder waait.

Inderdaad,op energiegebied biedt Vlaanderen voor een buitenstaander geen mooi plaatje....en het heeft zelfs niet met wind te maken...

Northvolt (II) meldt bijna 1 jaar eerder als oorspronkelijk gepland het productiebegin aan van batterijcellen.

Northvolt becomes the first homegrown European battery company to achieve battery cell production in Europe with the first cells being assembled at its “Northvolt Ett” gigafactory in northern Sweden.

Northvolt is a battery startup founded by two former Tesla executives who worked on Tesla’s first Gigafactory in Nevada with Panasonic.

The company planned to recreate the “gigafactory” concept of having a giant battery factory producing in the “gigawatt-hour” level of battery cells for electric cars.

The Swedish startup received investments from several companies, including Volkswagen, to build a massive battery factory in Sweden.

Volkswagen’s investment also came with the option to create a 50/50 joint venture with the startup to build another battery factory to supply the automaker.

Northvolt is quickly becoming a key partner for Volkswagen and a few other European automakers to secure battery supply long-term.

For Volkswagen, this long-term supply will enable the company’s electric transition since the automaker ordered $14 billion worth of batteries from Northvolt earlier this year.

Today, Northvolt announced that “Northvolt Ett,” its first gigafactory in northern Sweden, has produced its very first cell (pictured above):

“The first cell of Northvolt Ett represents a milestone which Northvolt has been working towards since the gigafactory was announced in 2017. The cell is of a prismatic cell format and came off the cell assembly line on the 28th of December. Commissioning and upscaling of the factory will continue through into 2022, when the first commercial customer deliveries will be made.”

Peter Carlsson, CEO and cofounder of Northvolt, commented on the announcement:

“Today is a great milestone for Northvolt which the team has worked very hard to achieve. Of course, this first cell is only the beginning. Over the course of the coming years, we look forward to Northvolt Ett expanding its production capacity greatly to enable the European transition to clean energy.”

Now with the official start of production, Northvolt aims to gradually ramp up production to 60 GWh per year at Northvolt Ett.

Northvolt zal daarmee wslk de 2e grootste batterijfabriek in Europa worden, na Tesla Giga Berlijn.

De Northvolt Gigafabriek zal vooral op groene stroom draaien(#4 en 5) en zal ook eigen megapacks maken, ook om windenergie op te slaan indien deze niet verbruikt kan worden.

In Zweden staat kernenergie nog op 2 na Hydro- en nog ruim voor Windenergie, of CO2-arme backup in overvloed. Bovendien is Zweden een netto exportland geworden van electriciteit, de laatste jaren >20 TWh overschot:
