Child Sex Tourism in Turkey



Lately in Turkey news reports circulated massively in the media, which
showed extensive violence and rapes against the children. Children in Turkey
being forcibly abducted and used in the sex trade by the big Turkish
organisations. It was revealed that many hotels in Aegean and Mediteraian
have been used for child sex tourism.



Investigations to reveal child exploitation in Turkey have been finalised.
EU has paid the extensive investigation research program to find out the
truth of children being used in the sex tourism in Turkey. Prof. Oguz Polat
headed the EU funded investigation team. Children have been kidnapped and
brought the cities for sex trade.



Prof. Polat revealed that they have set up child abuse line (first time in
Turkey) 0216 450 54 54 and from this they were able brought to the light
wide child porn industry in Turkey.



Polat says Turkey have played active role in child sex tourism in the recent
years, many of the hotels in Aegean and Mediterranean have been used for
this trade. According to Polat's investigation team and Polat that Turkish
police is useless and uneducated in this matter.



According to specialists that to have success in this research program
parliamentary investigation commission need to be set up by the Turkish
government.
