Standaard No food shortage for Terrorist Prabhakaran's birthday celebrations

Colombo, 23 November, (Asiantribune.com): While the Tiger propaganda
machine, backed by the Church and the NGOs, is screaming about the starving
Tamil people in the north, the Tiger hierarchy is making elaborate and
lavish preparations to celebrate the 52nd birthday of Velupillai Prabhakaran
on November 26. Parades, feasts and 'thamashas are on the card to celebrate
his birthday. These are a part of the personality cult of the "Sun God"
promoted by his minders - of Prabhakaran. Velupillai Prabakaran - the aging
LTTE leader will be 52 years old on 26 of this month.
Celebrations for the "Heroes Day" started on Monday in the Vanni areas.
Agents of Tamil Tigers in America, Australian, Europe, UK too are planning
public and private celebrations.

Observers also noted that neither the Tamil Church leaders nor the Tiger
leaders who are raising a hue and cry about food shortages have lost weight.
Just before his assassination Nadarajah Raviraj, the TNA MP, told the Asian
Tribune, that while the Tamil people are starving the children of
Prabhakaran are enjoying the best of luxuries in foreign countries abroad.

File pictures reveal the lean boy at 17 expanding horizontally with a huge
belly ballooning out in 2006. Tamil parties in the democratic see him as a
destructive force that has driven the majority out of Jaffna into the south
or abroad. Leading Tamil intellectuals too have been forced to seek refuge
with the Sinhalese of the south or flee abroad. He has now established an
undisputed record for causing the greatest amount of Tamil suffering
(Example: A 9 road) and the most amount of Tamil deaths in the known history
of Jaffna. Prabakaran the lean boy at 17 expanding horizontally with a huge
belly ballooning out in 2006.
There is a steady flow of disillusioned followers turning away from him,
both at home and abroad. They calculate that his military exploits have not
brought them any closer to Eelam. After leading the Tamil people through an
unprecedented period of violence, oppression and authoritarian rule he is
seen increasingly as a failure who will continue to lead the Tamil people
not to their liberation but to their extinction.

Statistics provided earlier by the Tigers reveal that they had lost 17,903
of its cadres who were killed in action. This does not take into account the
Tamil civilians who were caught in the cross-fire, or tortured and executed
by the Tigers. In addition to this, the Tamils who have voted with their
feet to migrate from the north and the east has reduced the indigenous Tamil
population to 4.3%, according to the latest provisional census report.
Tamils in the democratic stream argue that the diminishing returns of his
failed strategies will reduce their political power and make them among
minority lower than that of the Muslims (8%).

Brushing these realities aside, Prabhakaran is expected to read his annual
speech on 27th November. Analysts do not expect to hear more than his usual
litany of complaints blaming the Government of Sri Lanka for the suffering
of the Tamil people. He will also pose as the saviour of the Tamil people.
An additional interest in this year's speech will be the absence of Anton
Balasingham who has been ghost writing from the time the first celebrations
started in 1989. As he is terminally ill with cancer the new speech writer
is expected to follow the same pattern of blaming everybody else except
Prabhakaran and his failed policies.

Prabhakaran'shealth card too is not so rosy. He is a diabetic suffering from
bouts of depression.

Political analysts expect his common theme of war and peace will end in
bellum internacinum - a war of total extinction. How far he can go with a
full scale war without endangering his own position is the big question.

In the meantime it is learnt that Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan alias Colonel
Karuna who leads the Tamil Makkal Viduthalai Pulikal too will be delivering
his third Heroes day speech since his departure from the LTTE in March 2004.
