wikipedia eh? Ik heb al eerder gezegd dat ik die voor geen ruk vertrouw!

Vond het al zo raar dat mensen wikipedia als 'betrouwbare bron' nemen,
echt ongelooflijk.

Zou toch maar niet te snel zijn om wikipedia zomaar van tafel te schuiven. Dat is zoals aannemen dat geen enkele bron op internet te vertrouwen is omdat ze op internet staat.

20.000 teksten is nog altijd maar een klein deel van de meer dan 1.5 miljoen artikelen (in het engels alleen) en het merendeel zal grotendeels uit juiste informatie bestaan, en dikwijls ook tegenstrijdige informatie puur om volledig te zijn.
Ik heb pas nog een artikel gelezen waarin stond dat de kwaliteit van wikipedia vrijwel gelijkstond met die van britannica.

Wat dat nu in werkelijkheid wil zeggen laat ik in het midden

Dat zegt gewoon veel over de britannica

Kan zijn ben er niet echt mee bekend, maar het is toch een eeuwenoude instelling die werd ingehaald in enkele jaren door "amateurs". En dat is wel een belangrijk gegeven.

Amerika manipuleert de media beter als welk communistisch land in de wereld ooit heeft gedaan. Als er bijvoorbeeld een vlag word verbrand ergens in de wereld dan is de mainstream media daar meteen bij met camera's en journalisten om dit verschrikkelijke beeld over te brengen op de Amerikanen en de rest van de wereld. Maar je ziet niet de 250.000 demonstranten die vredig demonstreren. Het laat vooral het nieuws van één kant zien en niet wat er echt aan de hand is.

Het echte gevaar komt niet van de mainstream media, het komt van de onwetenden. Als mensen niet zo onwetend, lui en kritiekloos zouden zijn, zou niemand misbruikt kunnen worden. Hij die het weet kan niet misbruikt worden omdat hij het weet.

De mensen die in de media werken moeten het weer verdienen om journalist genoemd te worden. Want de meeste zijn gewoon onderdeel geworden van de propaganda machine van de regeringen.
