Eerst pleit je voor het met rust laten van de jacht- en sportschutter.

Nu blijkt dat een dergelijk wapen vrij verkrijgbaar is in de handel - met zo weinig mogelijk (administratieve) overlast voor voormelde "sportbeoefenaars" - ben je de mening toegedaan dat dit de fout is van de regering die verkeerde wetten maakt.

De logica van deze redenering ontgaat me volkomen.

Jij zoekt nog logica bij dergelijke individuen? Ik ben gewoon al verheugd wanneer ze zelfstandig een zin proberen te formuleren.

Assassination fears as umbrella poison resurfaces

For at least a month before they pounced on a flat above a nondescript chemist shop in North London, Britain's anti-terrorist police had been watching every move of a small group of Algerian immigrants.
Word had been circulating on intelligence networks that a "sleeper cell" linked to al-Qaeda was about to launch an attack, but MI5 finally had a firm lead: the Algerians were producing ricin, a poison as deadly as it is easy to make.
Six men and one woman were arrested early on Sunday and two days later the substance found in the home of the men was confirmed as ricin.
The poison, which can be extracted from a handful of castor beans, causes lung damage, vomiting, diarrhoea, seizures and wild mood swings. It usually kills within days.
Ricin was used in the James Bond-style murder in London in 1978 of the Bulgarian dissident writer Georgi Markov. He was jabbed with an umbrella tip containing a tiny pellet of the poison while waiting for a bus on London Bridge, and died four days later. The KGB was blamed.
The timing of ricin's latest appearance was fortuitous for the Prime Minister, Tony Blair, who was about to emphasise to his diplomats the dangers of weapons of mass destruction and his fears that soon such weapons would be in the hands of terrorists.
"The arrests ... show this danger is present and real and with us now and its potential is huge," he said.
But the discovery was also chilling for Mr Blair because ricin - which is better suited to targeted killings than mass murders - is a favoured tool of assassins.
As police continue to question the suspects - the woman has been released - and widen their search for other suspected al-Qaeda members in London, security surrounding Mr Blair and his most senior ministers is said to have been tightened.
Because ricin is simple to make, it is favoured by underground groups and terrorists. United States soldiers found vast supplies of it in Taliban strongholds in Afghanistan last year and plans for its mass production were found in al-Qaeda hideouts.
Dr Rufus Crompton, the pathologist in the Markov case, told The Guardian: "This is an extremely nasty substance indeed. Half a milligram killed Markov. It is such a clever thing to use in assassinations because the fever symptoms mimic actual illness. The patient dies from lots of tiny hemorrhages in the heart."
Although traces of ricin and the means of producing it were found in the north London home, larger quantities believed to have been produced there have not yet been turned up.
Since the September 11 terrorist attacks, Britons have been resigned to a similar kind of al-Qaeda attack on London.
The capital has become a city of plane-watchers and the millions who regularly use the Underground rail system dread a poison gas attack.
Ricin was not the form such an attack was expected to take but, as anonymous sources have pointed out to newspapers here, it shows that suspected terrorists are at work in London and that they do intend to kill.
The ricin discovery is probably, they fear, just the beginning.
"We have previously said that London and indeed the rest of the UK continues to face a range of terrorist threats from a number of different groups," said Scotland Yard's anti-terrorism chief, David Veness.

Dat was dus al een hééééél grote prestatie van u.
Wat het boven u vermelde aangaat. Het wapen is vrij te koop , zonder verguning, en men moet ook niet aantonen dat het voor de SPORT of voor de JACHT is. Het wordt dooe DE WETGEVER sport of jachtwapen genoemd. Het heeft niets te zien om te sporten of te jagen, men kan het ook bekomen om er mee in uw neus te peuteren, maar de wetgever noemd het een sportwapen. Dan valt het onder de wapens welke enkel een registratieplicht hebben. Dus ; 18 jaar, en pas laten afschrijven. Ik sta hier enkel verbaasd welke onbenullen hier hun zever verkondigen, zonder te weten waarover ze het hebben. Het zijn gelijk politiekers die wetten stemmen omdat hunne baas het hun heeft opgedragen om op dat knopke te duwen. z weten er ook geen bal van. EN HET KAN HEN ZELFS GEEN REET SCHELEN!
