Kemal Ataturk geniet nog altijd een mythische status in Turkije.
Zijn overwinningen & hervormingen maakten van dat enorme land een moderne staat, naar de normen van toen.
Turkije heeft een nieuwe Ataturk nodig.
De nadelige kanten van Erdogan moeten ze er nu bij nemen.

Sommigen vergeten de geschiedenis:

Pas op voor nationalistische, sociaalconservatieve partijen die zichzelf opwerpen als volkspartij en schreeuwen om de afbraak van de rechtsstaat onder het mom van terrorismebestrijding.
