More anyway than the bastardized kind of sub-Dutch and/or sub-English
they try to utter in the region around Capetown.

At least they do not go into eulogies about the spelling of kak or sjhiette
BTW there is a bit of German, French and Xhosa in there too !

Interesting.

Our dialect is in fact a separate language which is close to Zealandish
(Zeeuwsch), has a Saxonic base with blends of French, Frisian and
Scandinavian languages, while inland dialects are more Frankish from
origin.

Is Afrikaans becoming as the South-African wine: good but being
faster expensive than bettering? :-)))

Er it sounds like you are inventing a new language here in this very thread
! A blend of kaaskop grammar and pidgin English

You are correct, Afrikaans is very much like SA Wine - very good but
disparaged by Europeans who have a need to protect their own vested
interests. European wine is produced from highly developed cultivars but
grown on tired old vines.

The Dutch languages no longer produce much that is known beyond their own
regions, whereas the second most performed playwright after Shakespeare is
.......
