Diplomats of all religions hail the Pope

Every January, the Pope greets a corps of 178 Ambassadors inside the Vatican. They all hail the Pontiff.

Who is like the Pope? Representatives of all kind of religious nations hail him, inside his kingdom established as a statehood.

The Vatican Statehood is unique. The Pope is the only religious leader who has been gifted immunity from prosecution. He can not be put for trial outside of the Vatican, as long as he do not commit war crimes.

The Pope is above the law, and is not touchable. Still he is worshiped by leaders who represent all nations and religions, dictatorships and democracies alike.

Nazi Germany had warm diplomatic relations with the Vatican. The Popes ambassador in Berlin, Nuncio Orsenigo celebrated Hitlers birthday in 1939.

January 8, 2009. Diplomats of all colors are gathered to hail the Pope.

The Pope is busy running around, building the One World Religion. Here in Amman in Jordan.

De UN mag de wereldregering leiden
Citaat:
Vatican: The UN can head up world government

The Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace calls for a new global authority, noting that nations must give up their sovereignty and hand it over to this new world authority.

The Vatican calls for nations to submit to a world government to manage global finance, forgoing national interests.

The document that was released October 24th is called, “Towards reforming the international financial and monetary systems in the context of a global public authority.”

The Vatican hopes to add it’s two cents to the up-coming G-20 summit, focusing on the global monetary system. Bishop Mario Toso, S.D.B., Secretary of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace comments to the media, stating:

“propose a reflection on possible ways forward–in line with the most recent social Magesterium–that are effective and representative at a global level, and which seek the authentic human development of all individuals and peoples,”

The document notes that between 1900 and 2000, the earth has populated fourfold and the rapid increase of wealth has not been distributed fairly around the world leaving a gap between the rich and the poor.

The document blames economic liberalism, utilitarianism and technocracy for the worldwide financial crisis. The document explains:

The inequalities and distortions of capitalist development are often an expression not only of economic liberalism but also of utilitarian thinking: that is, theoretical and practical approaches according to which what is useful for the individual leads to the good of the community. This saying has a core of truth, but it cannot be ignored that individual utility – even where it is legitimate – does not always favor the common good.

The council writes how Pope John XXIII stated in his 1963 encyclical “Pacem in Terris” (Peace on Earth) that one day “a true world political authority” would be created.

“A supranational Authority of this kind should have a realistic structure and be set up gradually,” it says.

However it warns that “an Authority with a global reach that cannot be imposed by force, coercion or violence,” but only through “free and shared agreement” on the needs of “the world common good.”

The council, in keeping with the principals of subsidiary believes that problems should always be dealt locally first unless “individual, social or financial actors are intrinsically deficient in capacity, or cannot manage by themselves to do what is required of them.”
The Pontifical Council realizes “a long road still needs to be traveled before arriving at the creation of a public Authority with universal jurisdiction,” and suggests the reform or enhancing of present institutions such as the United Nations, International Monetary Fund or European Central Bank could be a good place to start.

The Council stresses a global power is needed for global problems:

Of course, this transformation will be made at the cost of a gradual, balanced transfer of a part of each nation’s powers to a world authority and to regional authorities, but this is necessary at a time when the dynamism of human society and the economy and the progress of technology are transcending borders, which are in fact already very eroded in a globalized world.

The Vatican admits that is must be a gradual change-over and that it will take time to have world government and concludes the document stating,

“time has come to conceive of institutions with universal competence, now that vital goods shared by the entire human family are at stake, goods which the individual States cannot promote and protect by themselves.”

Sources: catholic culture, CNA

My Comment:

We are headed into world government, with the approval of the Vatican. Even Catholics are starting to see the writing on the wall. It is evident reading their posts to articles. They know it’s wrong and don’t know how to choose what is right. There is only one way: to renounce the Pope, the Vatican and their wicked plans and adhere to the Gospel. Choose Jesus and release the chains that bind you to a church leading you into Babylon full steam ahead.

The Vatican knows world government needs to be introduced slowly, like the boiling of a frog. Before you know it, the world will be entrenched with the Pope leading the world religion and the United Nations composing international laws that trump the sovereignty of nations. “How did we get here?” people will ask.

Even now, the Vatican backs Occupy Wall Street.

Citaat:
Earth must prepare for close encounter with aliens, say scientists

UN should co-ordinate plans for dealing with extraterrestrials – and we can't guarantee that aliens will be friendly

Alok Jha, science correspondent
guardian.co.uk, Monday 10 January 2011 07.00 GMT

World governments should prepare a co-ordinated action plan in case Earth is contacted by aliens, according to scientists.

They argue that a branch of the UN must be given responsibility for "supra-Earth affairs" and formulate a plan for how to deal with extraterrestrials, should they appear.

The comments are part of an extraterrestrial-themed edition of the Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society A published today. In it, scientists examine all aspects of the search for extraterrestrial life, from astronomy and biology to the political and religious fallout that would result from alien contact.

"Will a suitable process based on expert advice from proper and responsible scientists arise at all, or will interests of power and opportunism more probably set the scene?" asked Professor John Zarnecki of the Open University and Dr Martin Dominik of the University of St Andrews in the introductory paper. "A lack of co-ordination can be avoided by creating an overarching framework in a truly global effort governed by an international politically legitimated body." The pair argue that the UN has a ready-made mechanism for such a forum in its Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (Copuos).

Member states of Copuos should put "supra-Earth affairs" on their agenda, say the scientists, and establish structures similar to those proposed for dealing with threats from near-Earth objects, such as asteroids, that might be on a collision course with our planet.

According to Simon Conway Morris, a professor of evolutionary palaeobiology at Cambridge University, anyone planning for alien contact should prepare for the worst.

Evolution on alien worlds, he said, is likely to be Darwinian in nature. Morris argues that life anywhere else in the universe will therefore probably have important similarities with life on Earth – especially if it comes from Earth-like worlds that have similar biological molecules to ours. That means ET might resemble us, warts and all, with our tendencies towards violence and exploitation.

"Why should we 'prepare for the worst'? First, if intelligent aliens exist, they will look just like us, and given our far from glorious history, this should give us pause for thought," wrote Morris in the journal's special issue.

Ted Peters, a professor of systematic theology at the Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in California, considered what might happen to the world's religions in the event of ET making contact. Conventional wisdom suggests that terrestrial religion would collapse if the existence of extraterrestrial intelligence (ETI) were confirmed, he wrote.

Citaat:
Vatican Dedicated to Luciferian World Gov't.

October 25, 2011

[The Vatican] plan would destroy national sovereignty ... It is Hegelian dialectics at its best. They are aiming for Marxism from both conservative (Catholic) and liberal (new age, Democrats, Occupy Wall Street) sides. The synthesis is unavoidable.

by Marcos
(henrymakow.com)

The Vatican Justice and Peace Department released a paper Monday, "Towards Reforming the International Financial and Monetary Systems in the Context of a Global Public Authority," calling for a "Global Institution" run by the United Nations to rule the globe's finances.

The wording of the paper is almost religious: il riferimento ad un'Autorit* mondiale diviene l'unico orizzonte compatibile con le nuove realt* del nostro tempo e con i bisogni della specie umana.
"the reference to a world authority is the only horizon compatible with the new reality of our times and with the needs of humankind".

This materialistic view goes against 2000 years of Christian thought, which states that Jesus Christ is the final fulfillment of human needs and that God takes (economic, material) care even of birds and the lilies in the fields.

The document suggests measures that have been a banner of the new world order for some time, such as taxation on financial transactions.

These ideas have been fostered by people such as Al Gore and the big banks, which would love to manage and trade the carbon taxes. Now, with the failure of the global warming hoax, a global financial tax seems to be on the agenda.
No doubt this is very timely, just after the United States has bailed out several banks and Europe is about to spend more than one trillion dollars saving some more banks. Why not do it with this new tax ?

If put into action, such a plan would effectively destroy the sovereignty of countries, which would lose the control over their currency. It says, "In fact, one can see an emerging requirement for a body that will carry out the functions of a kind of 'central world bank' that regulates the flow and system of monetary exchanges similar to the national central banks".

Not surprisingly, Bishop Mario Toso, the Secretary of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, is an admirer of new world order leader and Marxist advocate George Soros.

In a time when the Roman Church is under severe attack for the many cases of pedophilia and is losing ground every year to evangelical churches in Latin America and even with Hispanics in the US, it is a wonder that they leave religious themes behind in order to put their muscle behind a globalist agenda.

We have to remember that the Roman Church has been active for decades behind the "Liberation Theology", a Marxist distortion of the gospel that has been used to set Latin America and other Third World countries in the direction of Communism.

For a time, it seemed that Roman leadership was back to a more conservative direction, but now it looks like they are only aiming on a different, global level that involves the developed countries as well.

It is not the first time that Pope Benedict has called for a global authority. In 2009, he urged that such an entity be created in order to " oversee the economy and work for the common good". In March 2011, he called for a world authority with "real teeth."

In a spiritual sense, it seems that some Protestant authors such as Dave Hunt were right. In his book "A Woman Rides the Beast", he claims that the Roman Church is the woman dressed in scarlet in Revelations that helps anti Christ to achieve power and consolidate his world government, only to be later betrayed by him. Citaat:
After World War II, national economies made progress, albeit with enormous
sacrifices for millions, indeed billions of people who, as producers and
entrepreneurs on the one hand and as savers and consumers on the other, had
put their confidence in a regular and progressive expansion of money supply
and investment in line with opportunities for real growth of the economy.
Since the 1990s, we have seen that money and credit instruments worldwide
have grown more rapidly than revenue, even adjusting for current prices. From
this came the formation of pockets of excessive liquidity and speculative
bubbles which later turned into a series of solvency and confidence crises that
have spread and followed one another over the years.
A first crisis took place in the 1970s until the early 1980s and was related to the
sudden sharp rises in oil prices. Subsequently, there was a series of crises in
the developing world, for example, the first crisis in Mexico in the 1980s and
those in Brazil, Russia and Korea, and then again in Mexico in the 1990s as well
as in Thailand and Argentina.
The speculative bubble in real estate and the recent financial crisis have the
very same origin in the excessive amount of money and the plethora of financial
instruments globally.
Whereas the crises in the developing countries that risked involving the global
monetary and financial system were contained through interventions by the
more developed countries, the outbreak of the crisis in 2008 was characterized
by a different factor compared with the previous ones, something decisive and
explosive. Generated in the context of the United States, it took place in one of
the most important zones for the global economy and finances. It directly
affected what is still the currency of reference for the great majority of
international trade transactions.
A liberalist approach, unsympathetic towards public intervention in the markets,
chose to allow an important international financial institution to fall into
bankruptcy, on the assumption that this would contain the crisis and its effects.
Unfortunately, this spawned a widespread lack of confidence and a sudden
change in attitudes. Various public interventions of enormous scope (more than
20% of gross national product) were urgently requested in order to stem the
negative effects that could have overwhelmed the entire international financial
system.
The consequences for the real economy,
...

3. An Authority over Globalization
On the way to building a more fraternal and just human family and, even before
that, a new humanism open to transcendence, Blessed John XXIII’s teaching
seems especially timely. In the prophetic Encyclical Pacem in Terris of 1963, he
observed that the world was heading towards ever greater unification. He then
acknowledged the fact that a correspondence was lacking in the human
community between the political organization “on a world level and the objective
needs of the universal common good”. He also expressed the hope that one day
“a true world political authority” would be created.
In view of the unification of the world engendered by the complex phenomenon
of globalization, and of the importance of guaranteeing, in addition to other
collective goods, the good of a free, stable world economic and financial system
at the service of the real economy, today the teaching of Pacem in Terris
appears to be even more vital and worthy of urgent implementation.
In the same spirit of Pacem in Terris, Benedict XVI himself expressed the need
to create a world political authority. This seems obvious if we consider the fact
that the agenda of questions to be dealt with globally is becoming ever longer.
Think, for example, of peace and security; disarmament and arms control;
promotion and protection of fundamental human rights; management of the
economy and development policies; management of the migratory flows and
food security, and protection of the environment. In all these areas, the growing
interdependence between States and regions of the world becomes more and
more obvious as well as the need for answers that are not just sectorial and
isolated, but systematic and integrated, rich in solidarity and subsidiarity and
geared to the universal common good.
As the Pope reminds us, if this road is not followed, “despite the great progress
accomplished in various sectors, international law would risk being conditioned
by the balance of power among the strongest nations.”
The purpose of the public authority, as John XXIII recalled in Pacem in Terris, is
first and foremost to serve the common good. Therefore, it should be endowed
with structures and adequate, effective mechanisms equal to its mission and the
expectations placed in it. This is especially true in a globalized world which
makes individuals and peoples increasingly interconnected and interdependent,
but which also reveals the existence of monetary and financial markets of a
predominantly speculative sort that are harmful for the real economy, especially
of the weaker countries.
This is a complex and delicate process. A supranational Authority of this kind
should have a realistic structure and be set up gradually. It should be favourable
to the existence of efficient and effective monetary and financial systems; that is,
free and stable markets overseen by a suitable legal framework, well-functioning
in support of sustainable development and social progress of all, and inspired by
the values of charity and truth. It is a matter of an Authority with a global reach
that cannot be imposed by force, coercion or violence, but should be the
outcome of a free and shared agreement and a reflection of the permanent and
historic needs of the world common good. It ought to arise from a process of
progressive maturation of consciences and freedoms as well as the awareness
of growing responsibilities.
...

Authority with universal jurisdiction; as a first stage in a longer effort by
the global community to steer its institutions towards achieving the common
good. Other stages will have to follow in which the dynamics familiar to us may
become more marked, but they may also be accompanied by changes which
would be useless to try to predict today. In this process, the primacy of the
spiritual and of ethics needs to be restored and, with them, the primacy of
politics – which is responsible for the common good – over the economy and
finance. These latter need to be brought back within the boundaries of their real
vocation and function, including their social function, in consideration of their
obvious responsibilities to society, in order to nourish markets and financial
institutions which are really at the service of the person, which are capable of
responding to the needs of the common good and universal brotherhood, and
which transcend all forms of economist stagnation and performative
mercantilism.
On the basis of this sort of ethical approach, it seems advisable to reflect, for
example, on:
a) taxation measures on financial transactions through fair but modulated rates
with charges proportionate to the complexity of the operations, especially those
made on the “secondary” market. Such taxation would be very useful in
promoting global development and sustainability according to the principles of
social justice and solidarity. It could also contribute to the creation of a world
reserve fund to support the economies of the countries hit by crisis as well as
the recovery of their monetary and financial system;
b) forms of recapitalization of banks with public funds making the support
conditional on “virtuous” behaviours aimed at developing the “real economy”;c)
the definition of the domains of ordinary credit and of Investment Banking. This
distinction would allow a more effective management of the “shadow markets”
which have no controls and limits.
It is sensible and realistic to allow the necessary time to build up broad
consensuses, but the goal of the universal common good with its inescapable
demands is waiting on the horizon
...

Conclusions
Under the current uncertainties, in a society capable of mobilizing immense
means but whose cultural and moral reflection is still inadequate with regard to
their use in achieving the appropriate ends, we are invited to not give in and to
build above all a meaningful future for the generations to come. We should not
be afraid to propose new ideas, even if they might destabilize pre-existing
balances of power that prevail over the weakest. They are a seed thrown to the
ground that will sprout and hurry towards bearing fruit. As Benedict XVI exhorts
us, agents on all levels – social, political, economic, professional – are urgently
needed who have the courage to serve and to promote the common good
through an upright life. Only they will succeed in living and seeing beyond the
appearances of things and perceiving the gap between existing reality and
untried possibilities.
Paul VI emphasized the revolutionary power of “forward-looking imagination”
that can perceive the possibilities inscribed in the present and guide people
towards a new future. By freeing his imagination, man frees his existence.
Through an effort of community imagination, it is possible to transform not only
institutions but also lifestyles and encourage a better future for all
peoples.Modern States became structured wholes over time and reinforced
sovereignty within their own territory. But social, cultural and political conditions
have gradually changed. Their interdependence has grown – so it has become
natural to think of an international community that is integrated and increasingly
ruled by a shared system – but a worse form of nationalism has lingered on,
according to which the State feels it can achieve the good of its own citizens in a
self-sufficient way.
Today all of this seems anachronistic and surreal, and all the nations, great or
small, together with their governments, are called to go beyond the “state of
nature” which would keep States in a never-ending struggle with one another.
Globalization, despite some of its negative aspects, is unifying peoples more
and prompting them to move towards a new “rule of law” on the supranational
level, supported by a more intense and fruitful collaboration. With dynamics
similar to those that put an end in the past to the “anarchical” struggle between
rival clans and kingdoms with regard to the creation of national states, today
humanity needs to be committed to the transition from a situation of archaic
struggles between national entities, to a new model of a more cohesive,
polyarchic international society that respects every people’s identity within the
multifaceted riches of a single humanity. Such a passage, which is already
timidly under way, would ensure the citizens of all countries – regardless of their
size or power – peace and security, development, and free, stable and
transparent markets. As John Paul II warns us, “Just as the time has finally
come when in individual States a system of private vendetta and reprisal has
given way to the rule of law, so too a similar step forward is now urgently
needed in the international community.”Time has come to conceive of
institutions with universal competence, now that vital goods shared by the entire
human family are at stake, goods which the individual States cannot promote
and protect by themselves.
So conditions exist for definitively going beyond a ‘Westphalian’ international
order in which the States feel the need for cooperation but do not seize the
opportunity to integrate their respective sovereignties for the common good of
peoples. It is the task of today’s generation to recognize and consciously to
accept these new world dynamics for the achievement of a universal common
good. Of course, this transformation will be made at the cost of a gradual,
balanced transfer of a part of each nation’s powers to a world Authority and to
regional Authorities, but this is necessary at a time when the dynamism of
human society and the economy and the progress of technology are
transcending borders, which are in fact already very eroded in a globalized
world.
The birth of a new society and the building of new institutions with a universal
vocation and competence are a prerogative and a duty for everyone, with no
distinction. What is at stake is the common good of humanity and the future
itself. In this context, for every Christian there is a special call of the Spirit to
become committed decisively and generously so that the many dynamics under
way will be channelled towards prospects of fraternity and the common good. An
immense amount of work is to be done towards the integral development of
peoples and of every person. As the Fathers said at the Second Vatican Council,
this is a mission that is both social and spiritual, which “ to the extent that the
former can contribute to the better ordering of human society, it is of vital
concern to the Kingdom of God.”
Excuses voor de langdradige C/P.

Inderdaad. En, de buit is bijna integraal binnen.

Vatican to issue document on global financial reform

FINANCE-DOCUMENT Oct-19-2011

VATICAN CITY (CNS) — The Vatican has prepared a document on reform of the global financial system and the potential role of a public regulatory authority.

The document, prepared by the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, was to be released Oct. 24 in four languages, and presented the same day at a Vatican news conference by Cardinal Peter Turkson, head of the council.

The Vatican said the document would address “reform of the international financial system with a view toward a general public authority.”

The wording refers to a section of the 1963 encyclical “Peace on Earth” (“Pacem in Terris”), which stated:

“Today the universal common good presents us with problems which are worldwide in their dimensions; problems, therefore, which cannot be solved except by a public authority with power, organization and means co-extensive with these problems, and with a worldwide sphere of activity.”

In recent months, the Vatican’s justice and peace council has convened experts for discussions of the ethical dimension of the global financial crisis. At one conference sponsored by the council last May, participants said Catholics were looking for guidance from the Vatican on ethical principles for the world of finance and the environment.

In his 2009 encyclical “Charity in Truth” (“Caritas in Veritate”), Pope Benedict XVI addressed the worsening effects of the global crisis and said there was “an urgent need of a true world political authority” that could give poorer nations a bigger voice in financial decision-making, help manage the global economy, guarantee food security, better protect the environment and regulate migration.

“Such an authority would need to be regulated by law, to observe consistently the principles of subsidiarity and solidarity, to seek to establish the common good, and to make a commitment to securing authentic integral human development inspired by the values of charity in truth,” the pope said.

In other words, Strong is the stuff of nightmares for revanchist conspiracy theorists who hear the whirr of the UN's black helicopters: a gilded Rockefeller socialist linked to the Lucis Trust; a proponent of one world religion and government.

For instance:

In 1978, a mystic informed Hanne and Maurice Strong that "the Baca would become the center for a new planetary order which would evolve from the economic collapse and environmental catastrophes that would sweep the globe in the years to come." The Strongs say they see the Baca, which they call 'The Valley Of the Refuge Of World Truths ,'" as the paradigm for the entire planet and say that the fate of the earth is at stake. Shirley MacLaine agrees - her astrologer told her to move to the Baca, and she did. She is building a New Age study center at the Baca where people can take short week-long courses on the occult! Apparently, the Kissingers, the Rockefellers, the McNamaras, the Rothschild's, and other Establishment New World Order elitists all agree as well, for they do their pilgrimage to the Baca - where politics and the occult - the New World Order and the New Age - all merge. Watch Maurice Strong and watch the Baca!

The New Age slogan remains as always: Crisis = Opportunity. Maurice Strong was a prominent voice now aging but still prominent that 21 years ago in 1990 called for the actual manufacturing of just such an opportunity by a contrived collapsing of the global economy. Here's a link to one of many sites that discusses this and the open New Age motivation between his "inspirations."

Citaat:
UN Guidelines: Recruiting Religious Leaders as “Agents of Change” for One World Religion

Jurriaan Maessen
February 19, 2012

In its 2009 Guideluines for Engaging Faith-based Organizations (FBO’s) As Agents of Change, the UNFPA put out specific tricks to reach congregations unwilling to go along with the UN’s population control programs:

“UNFPA has found that leaders of faith ‐ and interfaith ‐ based organizations are open to discussing reproductive health, if issues are addressed with care and sensitivity.”

These “agents of change” should also be recruited to protect and promote the overall agenda “through countering misinformation campaigns and building social support within the governments for the ICPD (International Conference on Population and Development).”

The ultimate goal of these engagement efforts is clearly described:

“Create a conducive socio‐cultural environment (impacting on behaviour, attitudes and practices) to ultimately promote and mobilize key communities towards achieving the goals of the ICPD PoA (International Conference on Population and Development Programme of Action) and the MDGs (Millennium Development Goals).”

In the 2003 World Bank publication Faith in Conservation: New Approaches to Religions and the Environment, the reason for this broad set-up is explained in more detail:

“We see, do, and are what we think, and what we think is shaped by our cultures, faiths, and beliefs. This is why one of the more extraordinary movements of the past few decades began to take shape. For if the information of the environmentalists needed a framework of values and beliefs to make it useful, then where better to turn for allies than to the original multinationals, the largest international groupings and networks of people? Why not turn to the major religions of the world?”

It was Prince Philip (yes, the same prince who proclaimed he would like to see himself reincarnated as a killer virus in order to snuff out the lion share of humans if he could) who in 1995 launched “The Alliance of Religions and Conservation”. We may not be surprised at the fact that we find yet another branch of the Saxe-Coburg-Gotha clan at the forefront of promoting the infiltration of the world’s religions. To illustrate exactly how widespread this move toward a global unified religion is, the announcement goes on:

“The National Religious Partnership on the Environment is an alliance of the US Catholic Conference, Coalition on Environment and Jewish Life, National Council of Churches, and the Evangelical Environmental Network that serves more than 100 million Americans.”

This official launch was preceded by the emergence of Interfaith Partnership for the Environment”, which was founded in the mid 1980s in order to, as the UNEP website teaches, “… inform North American congregations about the serious environmental problems facing life on earth.”

We should here insert the observation that, yes, there is something detrimental facing all life on our planet and it isn’t carbon oxide. It is called the scientific dictatorship, which has already infiltrated almost all forms of human organization, including political, cultural, economic and religious organizations.

The “Earth Charter” is another example. An initiative by Steven Rockefeller (a fourth-generation member of the family) as well as man-hater Maurice Strong, the Charter outlines somewhat of an earth worship cult- for the brain-dead observer in order to attain world peace, but when you take a closer look you’ll find traces of eugenics all over the place. Here’s a man so keen on promoting the religion of death (which lies at the very core of this proposed world religion) that he couldn’t help himself on several occasions shooting his mouth off about the true objectives that are enshrined within its pillars:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1YCat...ayer_embedded# !

The other tentacle of this global system of control calls itself the World Bank and also joins in on the effort. UNEP explains:

Catholic World News - International problems reflect moral crisis, Vatican official tells UN
2 oktober 2012

In an October 1 address to the UN General Assembly, the Vatican’s chief foreign-policy official has warned that the peacekeeping role of the UN is threatened by a worldwide “crisis of confidence” in the fundamental moral principles that sustain the international organization.

Archbishop Dominque Mamberti, the Vatican’s Secretary for Relations with States, suggested that many international problems, including both military conflicts and economic fears, are sparked by “a profound anthropological crisis—that is, a loss of a common understanding of what is truly human.” The Vatican official explained that “only an international community firmly anchored in authentic values consistent with human dignity can produce viable solutions to new types of conflicts.”

In a clear reference to international terrorism, Archbishop Mamberti said that a consensus on moral principles is required as an antidote to “new types of conflicts initiated by transnational groups that spread a pseudo-religious ideology of contempt for human rights and civil peace.” He said that the problem is shown “most flagrantly by current developments in the Middle East, and in particular in Syria.”

In his address to the General Assembly, delivered in French, the archbishop paid tribute to the role that the UN has played since its inception in working to establish peace in the world. But today, he said, the UN is “deprived of the force of unity and persuasive power that it could legitimately have” because of the lack of a clear international accord on basic moral principles, such as those that were set forth earlier in fundamental international agreements on human rights.

“How is it,” the archbishop questioned, “that in spite of universal acceptance of the UN charter and fundamental treaties, we cannot establish a real and equitable system of world government?”

In addition to mediating political crises and stopping international terrorism, Archbishop Mamberti said that worldwide action is necessary to address an economic crisis that is “spreading as fast as a forest fire,” and takes its toll especially on those who are most vulnerable. He said that a growing gap between the world’s rich and poor must be recognized as “unacceptable.”

VN doelen gebaseerd op plannen New Age occultist

Blavatsky's Theosofische beweging.

Samenwerkingsdriehoek VN-Vaticaan-New Age
