They are. Sad indeed. Any child with an Internet connection can figure our that the Syrian "uprising" is an empty propaganda. The fact anonymous are supporting the imperialists here means that they are ignorant, infiltrated or both.
I guess that everyone can claim to be anonymous these days - so I hope most anonymous members see this operation for what it really is.

The violence in Syria is definitely being fueled by outside western and Arab countries. Outside governments sending money, weapons, and foreign fighters in to battle a government is criminal. That is the cause of this ugly situation. The west is now supporting an opposition who they have chosen as the legitimate representation of the Syrian people. This opposition seeks nothing less than the downfall of the current Syrian regime and completely rejects any dialogue with the current government. What happened to democracy and what the people want? My fear is that if Assad goes, who will come in his place? Will it be al Qaeda, who is already fighting for power there. Or a puppet of the Americans and Israelis? Syria has never bowed to the will of Israel, that is why it is bein targeted right now. The goal of the american government is to topple Assad and install a regime that is more friendly to "their allies" in the region. They have said this openly. Anonymous, not sure if you're on the right side here

I have just got back from 3 weeks in Syria, trying to learn the truth of what is going on, on the ground. Anonymous, you are making a very very big mistake. What have started as peaceful uprising, has been hijacked by thugs, terrests, radicals, killers of the worst kind ever. Can you imagin a female member of you family being raped by 10, 15 or 20 men, than a big cross being shuved up her verjina, while you are forced to watch, than being chopped int peaces while still alive!!!!!! just because she is a christian, or support the current system or just that she is not conered from top to toe?. this is a one of hundredth of harrible acts the free syrian army is doing in syria. yet the government will not allow these vedios to be shown in public to minimize from sectarian violance. Yet you are trying to help those animals? Please be carful, for what goes around comes around. I assure you, if these people succeed in Syria, America and the west ( the countries who are supporting them now) will be next.

“New footage posted on the Internet appears to have been filmed by a Syrian rebel who points the camera along the barrel of his gun as he shoots 10 unarmed prisoners,” reports Reuters.

The graphic clip shows prisoners lying on the ground begging for their lives before they are gunned down. One pleads, “I swear to God that we are peaceful,” before being slaughtered.

After the massacre, the gunman shouts “Allah Akbar, Jabhat al-Nusra,” referring to the Nusra Front, an Al-Qaeda offshoot that has claimed responsibility for innumerable suicide bombings in Syria that have killed hundreds of innocent people.

The massacre occurred in Ras al-Ain, a town close to the Turkish border that has seen fierce clashes between rebel forces and government troops in recent weeks.

“It certainly is a very disturbing video, and it is important to establish what happened,” Peter Bouckaert, emergencies director at Human Rights Watch, told Reuters.

In het begin waren er vreedzame protesten van ook seculiere oppositiegroepen. Assad ging niet op hun eisen in en daarna namen de religieuze extremisten en buitenlandse imperialisten het voortouw. Ze zagen een kans het regime gewelddadig te doen vallen. Ze hadden de westerse media aan hun kant, de wapens, het geld.

Verschillende van die oorspronkelijke groepen trokken zich terug. Ze willen de Assaddictatuur niet, maar nog minder de destructie van hun land zoals nu aan het gebeuren is.

Het is nog niet afgelopen.

A coastal state is entitled to explore for oil and gas in its economic zone, which extends 200 nautical miles (370 kilometers), according to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

The U.S. Geological Survey estimates that the area includes the coastal states of Palestine (Gaza), Lebanon and Syria. So according to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, Palestine, Lebanon and Syria are all entitled to explore and recover oil and gas in their respective economic zones.

Hundreds of US government financed mercenaries from Xe Services LL, formerly known as Blackwater, and Academi have been captured and killed by Syrian forces in Syria. As many as 700 foreign mercenaries of Arab and Western descent along with Israeli, US and European-made weapons were seized in the Homs neighborhood of Baba Amro in March of this year.

3 december 2012 - Syria's national television has aired footage showing the bodies of foreign militants, who were killed on Thursday while trying to cross into the country.
The television said on Sunday that the Syrian Army ambushed 21 armed men with the help of locals near the Syrian border town of Tal-kalakh. It said the militants were trying to enter Syria via Lebanon's border town of Wadi Khalid.

Daarbij steun ik Assad niet. Maar deze destructie van het land is gruwelijker twintig jaar Syrische dictatuur.

Het is een zeer troebele situatie. Ook bepaalde krachten met onverdachte anti-imperialistische credentials scharen zich achter de rebellen. En omgekeerd zijn er ook zeer dubieuze figuren die eerder in het pro-imperialistische kamp te situeren zijn die Assad steunen.

Het is een beetje de Libanese burgeroorlog hé: op den duur weet men niet meer wie tegen wie is en wie met wie. Het lijkt wel de Hobbesiaanse oorlog van allen tegen allen.
