Turkije terroriseert de Koerdische TV

Denemarken staat onder voortdurende druk van de Verenigde State om de uitzendingen van het Koerdische televisiekanaal Roj TV te stoppen. Dit maakte Deense regeringsbronnen op maandag bekend.



Turkije, die het kanaal wil sluiten, zegt dat het kanaal een mondstuk is van de Arbeiderspartij van Koerdistan (PKK).

”Het is bekend dat Amerika het kanaal wil sluiten en ze hebben dit meerdere malen benadrukt aan de autoriteiten,” zei een anonieme bron, die dicht staat bij de Premier Anders Fogh Rasmussen.

Maar een regeringsbron voegde hieraan toe:”In ieder geval, kan de Deense regering niet een tv-kanaal sluiten. De rechters zullen bepalen of Roj TV de Deense wet heeft overtreden en dat hun licentie moet worden ingetrokken.”

Volgens de openbare radio Danmarks Radio (DR), heeft de Amerikaanse ambassade in Ankara contact gezocht met de Deense delegatie op 7 april. Zij omschreven Roj TV als de stem van de PKK.

Op 10 april ontving het Deense Ministerie van Buitenlandse zaken een bericht uit Washington genaamd “Hernieuwde oproep van de Verenigde Staten om Roj TV te sluiten”.

Roj TV is gebaseerd in Denemarken sinds 2004. In 2003 kreeg het tv-kanaal de toestemming om uit te zenden. Turkije beschuldigt het kanaal van het oproepen tot haat door het openlijk steunen van de PKK.


Als deze zender om economische redenen wordt opgeofferd aan de Turken, dan kan Turkije zonder pardon de Koerden martelen, want de media in Turkije kan en mag geen beelden uitzenden die de Turkse staat voor de buis zet. In het verleden is youtube meermaals gestraft geweest in Turkije. Mensenrechten en meningsuiting is niet aan Turken besteed....

Roj tv is de stem van het Koerdische volk.

The Turkish State has caused a diplomatic scandal by requiring the cancellation of ROJ TV's licence in return of the Prime Minister of Danmark Mr Fog Rasmussen's election as Secretary General of NATO. The Turkish State has not only made the members of the NATO an instrument for its own interests, it has also clearly shown how cruel, unjust, and tyrannically it treats the Kurdish people.

The Turkish State has not only confined itself to the implementation of methods such as denial, exile, pillage, torture and massacre against the Kurds, but also, it made the USA and the European countries a part of their crimes by seeking to close down the ROJ TV. Turkey had sought to impose its denial of Kurdish language and the culture on the European civilisation and the democratic States that have been built based on that civilisation.

The Turkish State has employed every possible method to take away the fundamental right of Kurdish people to broadcast in their own language by making the ROJ TV a point of bargain at the NATO meeting by declaring that "either the ROJ TV will close down or Mr Rasmussen will not be a Secretary General".

We would like to assert that; the ROJ TV treats as its base the Kurds' right of freedom information in their own language, the protection of the Kurdish culture, and keeping alive the language of Asuri-Suryani's and Arabs, which have been denied by the Turkish State, and their rights derived from international laws, freedom of conscience and freedom of expression. And now, a freedom of information right of a nation and tens of ethnic minorities is sought to be obstructed.

We need to say 'STOP' to this injustice, backward thinking, massacre of Kurds and their language, and the dirty crimes, denial and blackmailing by the Turkish State.

ROJ TV's closure would mean backstabbing, betraying, and denying the Kurds and making them an instrument of dirty relations. We should not allow this to happen.

The closure of ROJ TV would mean that the European civilisation is being a tool of anti-democratic State that has been built on the blood of minorities, and the massacre of many peoples and the Armenians being at the outset. We should not allow this to happen.

We are calling on everyone who consider themselves to be 'enlightened', 'democrat', and 'a human being' for their cooperation and the Government of Danmark not to depart or make concessions from the international laws, the human rights, and the freedom of expression and conscience.

ROJ TV is the voice of freedom, rights, proletarians, the oppressed, the Kurds and those who believe in that 'ANOTHER WORLD IS POSSIBLE'. We therefore ask those who call out 'HANDS OFF ROJ TV' to take part in the petition.

Nog een voorbeeld van de "Moderne Turkse staat" " Binnekort in Europa.....

13/04/2009 ANKARA - Een organisatie ter bescherming van het gedachtegoed van Atatürk heeft een officiële klacht ingediend tegen Google. Volgens De Morgen zou dagblad Vatan dit hebben laten weten.


De toegang zou geblokkeerd moeten worden omdat de zoekmachine zou leiden tot lasterlijke informatie over Atatürk. De kans dat de rechtbank het verzoek inwilligt, lijkt groot. Het beledigen van Atatürk is bij wet verboden in Turkije.

Vatan heeft geen goed woord over voor de eventuele blokkade van Google. Het dagblad staat bekend als seculier en dus pro-Atatürk. Vijftien maanden geleden werd Youtube ook al onbereikbaar gemaakt voor Turkse internetgebruikers. De YouTube-blokkade, die werd ingesteld omdat er filmpjes op stonden die Atatürk beledigden, duurt nog altijd voort, al wordt de blokkade op grote schaal omzeild met speciale programma's.
