Can you do an episode on Cavendish, measuring of Earth's
weight and mass, and universal gravitation ?

does it have different speeds while rotating
around that star and if so,
does also time then have different velocities?

can thereafter electrical apparatures still be used?

That needs only a few weeks to occur
and people can hide in save places as
subwaystations and other strong buildings.

When after that shift people return to their houses,
will electrical apparatures still be functioning
or will there be damage because of
the changed magnetic field?

Wat wil je precies gaan meten aan die universele zwaartekracht? Ze moeten uitleggen hoe die werkt? *Pakt alvast laken en bowlingbal erbij.*

Goede vraag. Er is wel zat leesvoer over op het internet en het antwoord is waarschijnlijk al op wikipedia te vinden, maar ik zou het zo niet weten.

Lichter in ieder geval, anders is het een ster die om die "planeet" heen draait. Zeer waarschijnlijk is dit object zelf dan ook een ster of een zwart gat. Mocht het in geen van beide categorie"en vallen dan weet ik niet hoe je het noemt, maar het is zodra het zwaarder is dan die ster in ieder geval geen planeet meer, want een planeet is een object dat rond een ster draait, wat alleen gebeurd als de ster (ruim) zwaarder is dan de planeet.

Dat heb ik nog nooit gehoord eigenlijk, denk ik, misschien, maar in principe moet het inderdaad mogelijk zijn om via afgebogen licht meer van de zijkanten enzo van planeten te zien, en zelfs inderdaad licht dat wat meer vertraging heeft opgelopen dan het directe licht, en dus van eerder stamt.

Voornamelijk omdat het allemaal vrij saaie dooie rots is met een vrij egale samenstelling, zonder tektoniek en dergelijke zou ik verwachten dat de rotsformaties op de maan minder veelzijdigheid tonen, zeker nadat ze tot stof gebombardeerd en over het oppervlak verspreid zijn door inslaande brokstukken. Waarom er dan specifiek grijze rots licht en geen enigzins rode ofzo zou ik niet weten.

Over exo-planeten kunnen we wat dat betreft nog niks zeggen, insufficient data. Over Mars word gespeculeerd of er ooit leven was, en of het er zelfs nog zou kunnen zijn. Als het er is zal het in ieder geval niet meer echt aan het floreren zijn. Venus is erg heet, als er daar leven is is het "not as we know it". Verder zijn er nog Ceres en een aantal ijsmanen zoals Europa waar leven zou kunnen zijn. Als je uitgestorven leven zoekt is Ceres een aardige gok, want het is goed mogelijk dat de oceaan onder de ijskorst inmiddels geheel bevroren is.
Wat betreft de aarde: tenzij je er van uitgaat dat de aarde op den duur compleet vernietigd word en niet langzaam onleefbaar word, bijvoorbeeld door het opzwellen van de zon, word de aarde inderdaad op den duur een ex-bewoonde planeet.

We zijn al blij als we planeten vinden. Mochten de afwijkingen die gevonden worden uitwijzen dat er een maan is dan zullen ze daar zeker blij mee zijn, maar voorlopig is de data meestal niet zo nauwkeurig.

Dat verstoppen zal nergens voor nodig zijn, voor leven zal zo'n shift prima te doen zijn. En het zal waarschijnlijk niet maar een paar weken duren. Voor gevoelige apparatuur kan het een groter probleem vormen. Met huishoudelijke apparaten als strijkijzers en wasmachines verwacht ik weinig problemen, computers en dergelijke zouden mogelijk wel beinvloed kunnen worden. Mogelijk is het een idee om tegen die tijd wat staaldraad in de casing te verwerken om een kooi van Faraday te vormen ofzo.
