Je merkt ook een infantilisering en polarisering op hun forum. Ik heb al verscheidene forummers moeten blokkeren omdat ze echt vulgair taalgebruik hanteren en trachten discussies te laten ontsporen. De moderatie grijpt daar echt niet voor in. Ik had een aantal topics gepost op Deviantart zoals over die studie die aantoont dat Slavische migranten eigenlijk ook kleurlingen zijn. Ik moet echt wel lange onderbrekingen inlassen want hoe sommige van die kwieten redeneren is iets waar ik slechts mondjesmaat aan blootgesteld wil worden.

Ik vergelijk het met armoede. Armoede zal nooit helemaal verdwijnen omdat er teveel belanghebbenden zijn die flink verdienen aan armoede.

Bert De Kerpel is hier aan het zeveren. Ik heb de discussie een beetje gevolgd op Nederlandse FB pagina's. Wees maar zeker dat het in deze affaire absoluut om huidskleur gaat en niet om diploma. Uiteraard moet je Engels kennen om een Engelse tekst te kunnen vertalen. Maar veel belangrijker dan die taalkennis is beschikken over literair talent (en dat blijkt Marieke in overvloed te hebben) indien je poëzie of verhalend proza vertaalt (bij economische of technische teksten en zo is dat niet van belang).
