Eutelsat’s Michel de Rosen is a confirmed Israeli operative that is manipulating Europe’s television content.

<sub>Michel de Rosen runs Eutelsat. He is an Israeli citizen. In a blatant violation of freedom of speech, Eutelsat has ordered media services company, Arqiva, to take Iranian satellite channels (including Press TV) off of its frequencies. This comes at a time when talk of war is in the air.

It also means that the Israeli government controls Europe’s television content in ways that the public does not realize. It is truly a frightening prospect.

It further means there is a risk that TV programing can be used to manipulate Europe’s economy, bring politicians into power through undemocratic means, oppress minorities, and to feed unsuspecting viewers propaganda (like children or those who don’t have the time to look into these types of issues).

It is not simply an action against PRESSTV – it is a harbinger of serious problems heading to Europe that will be catastrophic to the citizens of Europe. Iran will survive, but the people of Europe will be played like pawns for the benefit of the Israeli government.

When you cannot get news from all different countries, it means that a select few are manipulating the news for their personal benefit.

This is an illegitimate an unsafe move. It disrespects EU citizens’ rights to freedom of information and independent media. Suppressing Iranian media in Europe is an indicator of bigger problems for the EU: It is a sign-post of imperialistic control of public opinion, outrageously anti-democratic, and extremely dangerous.</sub>

<sub>An Israeli airstrike on a media compound has injured at least six journalists, Palestinian medical authorities say. Among the outlets damaged are local, Italian, German, Lebanese and Kuwaiti channels. RT's office in Gaza was affected too.

*The journalists received minor to moderate injuries, Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra said. One journalist had his leg amputated following the attack, he added.

Two buildings of a media center in Gaza City were targeted by Israeli warplanes early on Sunday in a series of strikes. Witnesses reported that the journalists had evacuated after an initial attack, which was followed by at least two more hits. The buildings were heavily damaged.

Some of the victims are employees of Palestinian Ma’an news agency , while the man who lost his leg is a cameraman with the local al-Quds TV, Ma’an reports. The attack was focused on the 11th floor, where the office of al-Quds TV is located.

Iranian Press-TV reported that one of their cameramen was injured.

Among the journalists affected was the crew from RT’s Arabic-language sister channel Rusiya Al-Yaum. Fortunately for them, they had left the Shawa building about an hour before the Israeli planes delivered the strike. RT’s office was damaged, so the crew will move to a less-affected floor of the center.

Among the other media outlets the center hosted are Britain’s Sky News, Italian RAI, German ARD, Kuwait-TV and others.

The Middle East Foreign Press Association demanded explanation from the IDF over why the media buildings were targeted. It said journalists in areas of conflict are considered civilians and must be respected and protected as such under the international law.

An IDF report described the target of the attack as “a communications antenna used by Hamas to carry out terror activity against the State of Israel.” Israel sees al-Quds TV as a Hamas propaganda branch.

Later Israeli military told BBC they knew there was foreign media staff at least in one of the buildings they bombed beforehand. However those journalists were not the targets of the attack, they stressed.

In separate incidents at least three children have been killed in Gaza overnight including an 18-month-old, Palestinian sources reported on Sunday. The baby was killed in the Bureij refugee camp, spokesman Adham Abu Selmiya told AFP.

Earlier on Thursday, BBC Arabic journalist based in Gaza Jihad Misharawi lost his infant son and sister-in-law after shrapnel hit their house.

The image of the grieving man went viral on the internet, triggering a wave of condolences and a response from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who posted a picture of a baby reportedly injured by a Hamas rocket with a message saying that the militants are targeting Israeli children.

Palestinian medics said 48 Gazans had been killed by early Sunday and more than 450 injured since Israel launched its air campaign on Wednesday. Over the same period, three Israelis have been killed and 18 wounded, including 10 soldiers.

The Israeli army says militants have fired more than 600 rockets over the border since the start of the operation. Of them 430 hit and 245 were intercepted by the Iron Dome air defense system Israel deployed.

Israeli warplanes had hit more than 950 targets in Gaza. Overnight 180 strikes have been carried out.

The Sharouk media building was hit three times by Israeli missiles on Monday.

The building houses offices for Arab and international news agencies, including Al Arabiya, Sky news Arabiya, Al Aqsa TV and Press TV.

Witnesses said at least two of the injured were cameramen, one of them with the Dubai-based Al-Arabiya news network.

On Sunday, Israeli air raids targeted two media buildings in Gaza City, injuring at least six journalists, with one of them losing a leg.

During the Sunday bombings, a cameraman for Iran's English-language 24-hour news channel, Press TV, was injured. He is in stable condition at a hospital in Gaza.

Russia's state-run RT global television broadcaster said its office was badly damaged in the incident, adding none of its staff were hurt.

The Israeli army on Monday took over programming at a Gaza-based Hamas television station "to broadcast warnings” on the sixth day of Operation Pillar of Defense.

Al-Aqsa television, the official station of Gaza's Hamas regime, said in a statement the Israeli army "is interfering with Al-Aqsa TV," with the picture going on and off for several hours and sometimes appearing scrambled, according to AFP.

"We took over the Hamas television to broadcast warnings," a military spokeswoman said, indicating the takeover would probably last for a number of hours.

She told Arutz Sheva that AFP journalists' claims that “they could see no warning being sent out by the army” were incorrect.

On Sunday, the army took over Hamas radio broadcasts in Gaza for several hours.

The IDF on Sunday bombed an antenna used by Hamas. The surgical strike atop the 15-story building caused minimal damage, as seen in an IDF video, but Hamas has claimed that eight journalists were wounded in the operation.

Mainstream media have reported the claim without verification.

The IDF later called on "international journalists... to stay clear of Hamas's bases and facilities, which serve them in their activity against the citizens of Israel."
