From a societal point of view, real problems occur when the cult starts developing its own moral philosophy, at odds with the rest of the world. It happened to David Karresh and his followers in Waco, Texas. It happened to Chancellor Helmut kohl and the CDU in Germany, and it will probably happen again. Beware.
