Jordan, PA arrest 2 Palestinians for selling Hebron house to Jews

The Palestinian Authority and Jordan earlier this week arrested two
Palestinians suspected of selling a house in Hebron to settlers who
have been occupying it since March 19.

One of the suspects is being held in Jordan, and the other in Jericho.
PA laws call for a death sentence for anyone found guilty of selling
land to Jews.

Hebron's Jewish Committee condemned the arrest, saying, "The arrest
exposes once again the anti-Semitic nature of the PA. We call upon the
government to accept the racial hatred prevalent in the PA."

MK Uri Ariel (National Union-National Religious Party) called on the
government to act for the release of the arrested Palestinians. Orit
Struk of the committee said the arrest is proof the house legally
belongs to the Jewish community.

Committee members told Haaretz that police and army officials said off
the record the house purchase was legitimate, adding: "Despite this,
Defense Minister Amir Peretz has instructed the Military Advocate
General to come up with a pretext for our eviction."

oh and for all those to claim that the israeli`s `stole` the house,
what do you have to say now? did these 2 PALS get arrested for no
reason? you cant have it both ways.

hmm wonder what would happen is israel passed a national law that
forbids any PALs from owning any house or land in israel. so much for
right of return and so much for all arabs living in israel. evict them
all. think the world response would be the same as it is now with this
PA law?

Let me see if I understand you correctly: Jews who legally purchase
housing from Arabs are deemed a "security risk"?! Excuse me?!

And it is against "international law" to allow Jews to live in homes
they purchase legally? Really? I`d like to see where it says that. Why
is it wrong to evict black people from their homes but not settlers?
Both are visible minorities. This mentality is downright racist!

Where is Peace Now? How do they expect peace when these are the Jews
neighbors? A Jew ,might be forbidden from selling land to an Arab, but
he is not put to death for it, and he would surely be lambasted as a
racist by many Israelis. So I ask, which goverment is practicing
Apartheid, the Israeli one or the Palestinian/Jordanian/Arab world
which invokes such laws and prevents Jews from owning land?
